This ensemble was born thanks to the significant efforts to obtain the donation of a complete set of bronze handbells from the American company Shulmerich Bells LLC and a workshop conducted by Maestro CARLOS E. RIVERA APONTE from the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo in June 2019. He has also provided ongoing pedagogical support in this valuable musical process of handbell performance in Colombia. Encanto was formed on August 19, 2019, with outstanding musicians from the city of Bogotá and the department of Cundinamarca, in Colombia.
