Lyrical Tenor, author published in various countries, producer, and international vocal coach. He completed his studies at the University of San Antonio, Texas, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Music Theory. Within his career as a professional singer, he received his education from the renowned soprano Dr. Melody Rich. During his master’s studies, Jaramillo was a member of the Opera Studio at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, during the summer of 2001. He also performed various recurring roles with many Regional Opera Companies in South Texas, including “San Antonio Lyric Opera,” “South Texas Lyric Opera,” and “Procantus Lyric Opera.” Besides his operatic work, Maestro Jaramillo has a deep love and respect for the art of the song and has performed numerous recitals in the United States and internationally. In his teaching career, Maestro Jaramillo professes a deep love for teaching and has conveyed his passion for Bel Canto to many students since 2007, when he opened his private singing studio. He is currently the Dean of the Vocal Department at the Conservatory of Fine Arts in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, where he is a founding member of the institution. This is Jaramillo’s first visit to Colombia, and he wishes to sincerely thank the Conservatory of Fine Arts and the director, Maestro Carlos M. R. Kattah, for leading this international project. Jaramillo is very excited that the students of the Conservatory of Fine Arts are sharing an international experience.
Pianist, composer, producer, and improviser from Guadalajara, Mexico, aged 26. He began playing the piano at the age of 11 and has been a student of Joel N. Juan Qui, Leonor Montijo, Jorge Luis Godínez, and Marita Zimmer.
In 2016, he started studying for a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Music Department of the University of Guadalajara (U de G). In 2018, he went on an exchange program to the “Musikhögskolan Ingesund” school in Arvika, Sweden, where he studied piano with Mikael Kanarva and Hsin-Bei Lee. He completed his music degree with a performance orientation in 2020 and took his graduation exam in 2021.
He has participated in various competitions: “Stockholm International Music Competition” at the Södra Latin school in Stockholm, “International Contest of the Formandi Festival 2019” in Guadalajara, where he won 2nd place; in the national contest “Young Classical Musician,” qualifying as a semifinalist; “Irina Samodaeva International Competition,” and the “Walled City Music International Competition.”
He has given recitals in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, in Jalisco, and in Sweden, as a soloist and in chamber music. He has premiered works, both his own and those of other composers, in Mexico and Sweden. He has worked as an accompanist for professional musicians of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra and the Guadalajara Philharmonic Choir, constantly working in various types of events as an accompanist and soloist.
