Musical Initiation Program
“This program aims to sensitize the student to the musical phenomenon, showing them the main characteristics of sound and helping them recognize them. It is important to note that this is the only program in the School that exclusively focuses on the awareness stage, as it serves as a foundation for the other programs.

Objectives
Imitate simple rhythmic patterns.
Recognize simple melodies and sing them.
Stages
Recognition of sound characteristics such as intensity, duration, pitch, and timbre.
Recognize and imitate the aforementioned sound characteristics in everyday environments (sounds of a car, animals, household items, etc.).
Discover the sounds we can create not only with the voice but also with the body.
Exploration of small percussion instruments and their different timbres.
Play singing and marching to the beats of a children’s melody.
Introduction to basic rhythmic notation (whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes).
Group imitation of easy melodies that stimulate the nearest instrument to everyone: the voice.
